SNOWFLAKESā¦
Have you ever looked at a snowflake and wondered how it formed or why it looks different from other snow you might have seen? Snowflakes are a particular form of water ice. Snowflakes form in clouds, which consist of water vapor. When the temperature is 32° F (0° C) or colder, water changes from its liquid form into ice. Several factors affect snowflake formation. Temperature, air currents, and humidity all influence shape and size. Dirt and dust particles can get mixed up in the water and affect crystal weight and durability. The dirt particles make the snowflake heavier, and can cause cracks and breaks in the crystal and make it easier to melt. Snowflake formation is a dynamic process. A snowflake may encounter many different environmental conditions, sometimes melting it, sometimes causing growth, always changing its structure⦠(source – chemistry.com)
I donāt know about you, but I think that sounds a lot like our human livesā¦. We are all made from the same matter, created by the same great Creator. We all have struggles and trials and life situations that make us all unique. We have all been through different conditions, sometimes we also get a little (and sometimes a lot of) dirt and dust mixed in our livesā¦
We all experience things that make us melt, things that make us grow, things that change us⦠All these things make us uniquely us & give us each our own beauty to add to the world around us.
Just like the snowflake we all may be small in comparison to the rest of the world, we might think who are we to do anything important, to contribute, what can we do to make a difference?
But we all have something to add to the world, that no one else does. We all have unique talents and abilities just waiting to sparkle, shine and dance like snowflakes do as they flutter from the sky.
Consider this quote ā āSnowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together.ā — V. M. Kelly
What happens when snowflakes stick together? Inches and inches and feet of snow build up and sometimes even create an avalanche. Wow! To think an avalanche starts with just ONE tiny snowflake.
When we work together as a team ā to help others change their lives, to improve our own lives, together we can create an avalanche and make a HUGE impact on the world around us.
Letās all commit to thinking of ourselves as beautiful snowflakes, to letting our uniqueness dance and sparkle and most of all to stick together to make a huge impact on the world around us!
