I have found that shopping for the men in my life can be difficult. They really have everything. I don’t like to just give gift cards or clothes or cologne. To me, that seems so boring. I want to give them gifts that they really like and will enjoy. I want to give them something a little unique, something they might not purchase for themselves.

Since they all like sports a lot, that helps give me a few ideas for gifts each year.  My grandfather is a big NASCAR fan and also likes NFL. My dad and my brother prefer MLB, especially the Atlanta Braves.  My dad, uncle and younger brother usually go to Atlanta at least once or twice a year to attend a home game. It’s a four hour drive each way.  That’s 8 hours of driving to watch a 2-3 hour game. You know you are a sports freak when… 🙂

I have been to a Braves game in person too and it was a ton of fun! I went on a girls trip with a couple friends to Atlanta a few years ago and  attending a game was on our list of things we had to do!  It rained during part of the game, but they continued to play.  In spite of the rain, we still had a great time and best of all the Braves won!  I have enjoyed several other MLB games in person too. I think attending any sporting event is person is much more fun because of the environment and excitement of the crowd.

If you have some sports fanatics in your family, you can find some great gifts on SportsFreak365.com. They have all kinds of products shirts, hats, notebooks, golf balls, 3 ring binders and custom calendars.

The custom calendars are really neat. You just choose your sport, then team and then the players. You get to pick the cover image and the image for each month. They have a large selection of images from all the teams.  You can also customize the calendar even further by adding in special dates and info.  You can include all your family’s birthdays, your anniversary and any other special occasions.  The calendar will also include a schedule for all the games coming up next year for that particular sport.

I created this custom Dallas Cowboys calendar for my grandfather.  It only took me about 15 minutes to choose the images and add in the extra information and dates. The calendar shipped quickly and I was really impressed with the quality of the paper and pictures.  My grandfather really like the calendar and was impressed with the pictures I chose for each month.  His only complaint was that I didn’t include any pictures of the Cheerleaders. (He was joking of course, but I’m sure he wouldn’t have been offended by a picture or two of them).

  • I can completely relate. My father is one of the most complicated people to buy something for.. .. for that same reason.. if he wants or needs something.. he already has it. Unfortunately he isn’t a sport fan, so looks like I need to keep brainstorming, lol. However, my son is a serious football lover, I will check this out, sounds seriously cool!

    Thanks 😉

  • Out of all my kids (2 boys, 2 girls) my youngest daughter is THE biggest sports freak! The Dallas cowboys are her team. I’m fairly certain she even has some undies with the logo!! She’ll love this!
