This month’s featured business owner is Anika Hughes who is an Independent Distributor with Young Living Essential Oils. Anika joined Young Living in March of 2015 to make an extra income. She works full time and is a busy mom who wanted to be able to help her family live comfortably and afford the extras.
Anika had been involved in other direct sales companies but says she was drawn to Young Living because of their mission to help people improve their health. After trying the products she realized this was a great opportunity and fit for her. She loves the support and family like environment that Young Living promotes within the company and sales force.
I asked Anika what her favorite product was and she said it was tough to pick just one but she would say NingXia Red. It’s a juice that is full of antioxidants and supports whole body health and overall wellness. Plus it is very tasty and her kids really like it too. One of the main benefits of being in direct sales for Anika is how it has motivated her to come out of her shell more. She says she is pretty reserved and quiet. Having found products that she likes & believes in makes it easier for her to share them with others. Being a business owner has also helped her grow as a person, learn more about herself and gain more confidence as she continues to grow and connect with more people.
Anika shared some great advice with me about her attitude towards success. “You will never have this day again so make it count.This means we have to do the best we can each day. Don’t give up even when it gets tough and it will. When you are passionate about something, your sincerity will show. ”
